All our rentals include 24-hour roadside assistance, 365 days a year. Whatever happens, you're not on your own: the assistance phone number is in your rental contract, which you receive when you pick up the vehicle.
In case of an accident
Your safety and that of others comes first. If anyone is injured, call 112 immediately. To signal the vehicle, in Spain it's mandatory to use the geolocated V16 emergency beacon, which replaces the old warning triangles; your vehicle has one included in the glove box, and you simply place it on the roof. If the accident is serious or there are injuries, don't move the vehicle unless it's essential for safety.
Once everything is safe, fill in the European accident statement (also in the glove box) with the details of the other vehicle involved (registration, insurance and driver), and take photos of the damage, the position of the vehicles and the documents. Then, contact our assistance team as soon as possible and we'll tell you how to proceed.
In case of a breakdown
If you're left stranded, signal the vehicle with the V16 beacon, get to safety and call the assistance number in your contract: we'll guide you the whole way. That said, don't take the vehicle to any garage yourself, as repairs must always be authorised by our team. Doing so without authorisation may lead to charges on your account.
In case of theft
Report the theft to the authorities (Police or Guardia Civil) as soon as possible and contact our team to let us know. Then, hand in the vehicle key at one of our offices within 24 hours: without the key and the police report, the theft insurance can't be processed.
In any of these situations, your safety comes first. We'll sort out the rest together: that's what the assistance included in your rental is for.
