We want you to have all the information up front, with no surprises. If you return the van in good condition, with the agreed fuel level and on time, you won't have any extra charges. These are the charges that can apply and when:
Fuel If you return it with less fuel than it had, you'll be charged a €20 handling fee plus the cost of the missing fuel.
Cab cleaning
- €90 if the cab comes back with mud, soil, sand, animal hair or items such as bottles, papers or food.
- €200 if it has construction residue, vomit, excrement, significant stains on upholstery or dashboard, or smell or traces of chemicals, oils or fuels.
Load area cleaning The load area is handed over empty and must be returned the same way. If it comes back with rubbish, debris, construction waste or other materials we have to remove, the charge ranges from €30 to €200 depending on the volume of waste.
Smoking in the vehicle Smoking inside the van is not allowed. Smell or traces of tobacco lead to a €50 charge.
Late return If you return the van 60 minutes or more after the agreed time, one additional rental day is charged. And if you don't let us know about the delay at least 24 hours in advance, a €50 charge is added.
Extra kilometres Vans include 400 km per day over the total rental. Kilometres beyond that limit are charged by group (you can see this in the kilometres article).
Fines and penalties If we receive a fine for an offence committed during your rental, we're legally required to identify the driver. This handling has a cost of €30 per fine. The penalty amount itself is not included and is your responsibility.
All justified charges are deducted from the security deposit. If they exceed the deposit amount, we'll let you know the difference, with supporting documentation, before applying it.
