If, during the rental, the vehicle suffers damage to the bodywork or exterior, the first thing you should do is contact our emergency team. The emergency phone number can be found in the rental contract you will receive after signing.
Next, you should describe the damage and clarify whether it prevents the vehicle from being driven normally. Once our colleagues have all the information, they will instruct you on the next steps.
Repair costs will only be charged to the renter if they have not purchased additional insurance. In this case, the maximum deductible for the reserved vehicle category will apply. If the repair cost is lower, the difference will be refunded, providing the invoice with the total repair costs. This will also apply if the renter misuses the vehicle, which would void the insurance coverage and make the driver responsible for the full damages.
If the damage is mechanical, the procedure will be the same. The renter must contact the company’s assistance service to report the situation. Afterward, our colleagues will instruct you on how to proceed so you can continue using the vehicle.
If the mechanical failure is due to misuse of the vehicle, the renter will be responsible for the repair costs. If the failure is due to the normal use of the car, the renter will not have to pay anything.
